We know leadership in the school and classroom matters. Since 2000 The Chicago Public Education has spearheaded strategies and seeded programs to boost the quality of principals and teachers in the third largest school system in the country. Fund Chairman Penny Pritzker outlined our strategic priorities for our third investment fund: hiring and evaluating principals and teachers and extending learning time. Using The Fund's venture capital model, a 10-year track record of success and working with various partners, The Fund has made significant progress towards elevating the level of performance of human capital in Chicago's public schools.
