Penny Bender Sebring, Fund board member and chairman of The Fund’s Evaluation Advisory Council, and Founding Co-Director of The Consortium on Chicago School Research at the University of Chicago, appeared on “Beyond the Beltway,” a nationally-syndicated talk radio program hosted by Bruce DuMont. Penny discussed findings from her latest book, “Organizing Schools for Improvement: Lessons from Chicago,” co-authored by Anthony S. Bryk, Elaine Allensworth, Stuart Luppescu, and John Q. Easton. Penny was joined on the radio program by outgoing Chicago Teachers Union President Marilyn Stewart, former Chicago Teachers Union President Deborah Lynch, education consultant John Simmons, and education reformer in Oakland, CA Steve Jubb.
